Everyone’s feeling the Xmas Spirit yet?? I started feeeling wayyy festive this morning!! Been blasting this  little list of songs i’ve compiled over and over again on youtube!! … Aaahh! 4 days to go!!

First off i’d like to thank my wonderful dad for buying me and early Xmas gift: these heavenly shoes that i’ve lusted over instantly!! … I LOVE YOU DAD!! You made my New Year’s Outfit complete! *love love*

… YET my TOES ALREADY HATE YOU as they’ll probably get crushed to death in that seemingly instrument of torture!! & have i mentioned? I don’t wear heels much so this will be a new new challenge for me! (i’m already practicing by wearing heeled boots at work – but it’s not the same for sure! AARGH!)

Afef’s Remaining To-Do list for the holidays:

• Decorate Xmas Cards
• Send out Xmas Cards to lovely online friends
• Buy all Gifts!
• Wrap up all the gifts!
• Finish up super secret funny video project for work!
• Find the time to catch up with the lectures i’ll be missing!
• Find the time to copy all lecture notes nicely …
• Find the time to answer all emails!
• Find a good festive Recipe for Xmas Day for mom to cook! (yay, internet!)
• Plan a time of day with friends when i can go round to their house and act all Santa Claus-ey xD
• Plan outfits beforehand just in case i’m in need of an emergency outfit  (*cough* last minute planned outing *cough*)
• Get hands on a pot of Mint Green / Emerald BARRY M Dazzle Dust (for New Year’s! i’m currently loving the look of green eyeshadow! For xmas i’m getting all purpley – THANKYOU RAVENCROFT FOR SENDING ME THAT HEAVENLY SHADE OF PURPLE NAILPOLISH! LOTS OF LOVE TO YOU!!! xxx)
• Still have to think how on earth am i going to do my hair!? Thinking of adding a few ringlets maybe? DECISIONS!!

Y’all asked for a personal entry so here it is! I don’t like writing these type of entries much anymore – i just find them plain boring (there’s LJ for this kind of stuff, where the entries are pretty much locked away from prying, unwanted eyes … you know what i mean) … But the readers ask & the readers get, righttt?? This kind of entry also helps me get off my writer’s block i’ve been sort of having lately. Boo!!

So what have i been up to & what will i be up to? … Ooooh, lots of stuff! Here are some of the most interesting highlights

• Out out out – i cannot remember the last time i spent idle time at home without anything planned …
• Started out Marketing & Economics A Levels – which are both pretty much a handful & have eaten away most of the little free time i had (& the time table’s out already: i’m going to have 3 VERY busy days in the beginning of May!!)
• Aikido Self-Defence Course – It’s hell different & helps keep me on my toes!! i’m busy with this till January then maybe thinking of finally taking up yoga instead!!
• Finished up the Manga Course – & Submitted 2 Artworks (click to see one of them!) for the Annual December Exhibition Show which opens on December 7th!
• First Aid Course – I’ll be doing this next week!
• Graduation Party – The guest list’s complete & pretty much most of the stuff’s ready too! :cute:
• London Trip & Actual Graduation Ceremony - More planning on how to arrive where we want to go & stuff! ARGH!
• Halloween! - Managed to assemble an EGL costume from clothing that i have (complete with a kawaii mini top-hat & with a little help from sister Robz who is lending me her cute skirt). i’ve got one hell of a full day next Saturday: Comicon in the morning, then make-up in the afternoon & then off to a party at night after hanging out with a bunch of friends somewhere (this part is still not planned yet lol!) … let’s just hope i have time to nap & curl my hair in between … still have to find my mom’s old hair rollers!

Happy Monday fellow SugarPlums!! How was everyone’s weekend?? Hope it was as great as mine was (can’t you tell, i’m such in a good mood today while writing this!!). If it wasn’t so bright and shiney – why not recompensate with an amazing week then, huh? :P Here’s what the 4bw suggests:

• Start Planning out your Winter Wardrobe! – Get yourself on Polyvore & start experimenting with layers, colours & fabrics – try out new styles for the winter! i’ll be posting my Winter Clothes Wishlist / Shopping list soon (as soon as i complete it!) – Polyvore inspires me to try out new things (& its much better than going clothes hunting in local shops – everyone seems to get the same BORING things…!!
• Check out Local Education Programmes – Learn a new skill! Most of the time, such courses are either free or very cheap! I myself have enrolled into an Adult Education course for … Aikido! … & in November i’ll be doing a First Aid course as well … While working, studying for two A levels & juggling an active social life!! Ahhh it’s really never too late to learn something !
• Get some colour in your inbox! – With Autumn here, the days are getting much stormier / rainier (unless you life in the southern hemisphere – you lucky thing!). We find ourselves locked inside the house and infront of our PCs a more often than in summer (& we’re highly prone to end up victims of boredom!!). Register yourself in some awesome email services like DailyLit, Word of the Day & Notes from the Universe! You can also find websites who can send you your daily fortune, what your horoscope says, Inspiring Quotes, Zen Quotes and Insights … A good email always makes my day
• Make a list of personal commandments – Follow them by heart … or make your room-mates / partner follow them on your PMS days to keep your temper at bay!!

The following idea was suggested by Shaina (a BIG thankyou dear!)

1. Print out your favorite quote. If you don’t have one, pick a saying that inspires you and makes you want to be the best you can be, all the more better. Hang it above your bed or beside your mirror. Let it remind you of what you want and that you can achieve it, no matter what obstacles stand in your way.
2. write a movie review! go see a new film and write down key elements of the plot, favorite quotes, etc. give your honest opinion in a blog or start a forum discussion to hear other views on it.
3. Decorate your binder! Buy some cosmopolitan, self or any magazine with a lot of pictures. cut out random images that appeal to you, then arrange them in a unique collage. I, for example, have decorated each divider inside my notebook, along with the front and back pockets.
