I was looking at the stats - & it seems like the 1000 comments benchmark ever since i switched to word-press will be soon be reached. In-fact, just another few comments to go!! 
Most probably i’ll be making something for the lucky 1000th commenter and give it out in the next post! 
So get commenting kids & keep your eyes peeled!! 
I’ve had an amazing New Year! Pictures are still yet to be added to Flickr (i’m still waiting for people to send them to me). We sure drank alot. Starting from that punch that we made with coconuts and pineapples my bf brought to the flat with him yummm!! … well it was all fun until i woke up on the 2nd and barely made it to the bathroom. A visit to the doctor concluded that i had to stay 3 days at home sick. Most probably i have picked up some-kind of virus from a glass at a bar or something (or caught it from the air). Urgh. I still have my stomach very much bloated & very much hurting still. I can barely hold anything in. I was VERY LUCKY to have been able to meet Luana this Saturday & go off for Lunch with her & her bf on Sunday (something which she has been waiting for, for months! How could i not go??!)
Anyone else like me is in a Euro-Crisis? As some of you might know, Malta & Cyprus have adopted the Euro currency as from January 2008. I’ve managed to spend & exchange all the remaining Maltese Liri i had in my purse, including all the VERY SMALL change i had collected over the years (another miserable way of saving up, as i don’t like to use small change to pay!) … but honestly i’m not having very good luck with the Euro yet. I’m still dividing the Euro sum in two so to get an approximate Maltese price, as well as purse money budgeting is still crap (how much do i leave in my purse in case of emergencies / on average / to go shopping?). High sounding prices still scare the shit out of me - 53 Euros for 2 tops? 
I like 23 Liri sounding much better 
! Anyone else out there has had the same much annoying experience?

The prices are just the top of the iceberg, my dear. When i went through it a couple of years ago, the prices went up really high. Almost all gulden (our old currency) changed to euro’s. One euro is around 2,20 gulden. If I’d go and buy a bag of Maltesers I enjoy sometimes I’d have to put out 1,80 euro’s! That is like over 3 guldens which is ridiculously expensive compared to old prizes >.>
Let’s hope they wont do that to you ne =p

I have never experienced this kind of crisis but my parents have… and they say it was difficult because they had to convert prizes all the time ! My grandfather and my grandmother never got used to euros.

Congrats on your 1000 comments! It really doesn’t take long. I am usually shocked to see how many comments I get in one month because it doesn’t seem like as many as it says I have. But I do believe the number.
I would hate to have to switch my money over. That would be so confusing for me! Good luck with that! I’m sure you figure it all out soon.

I know about the Euro-Crisis
As I told you in person, in Italy it was kinda the opposite (1 Euro = 1,936.27 Lire) but the feeling was the same… Not mentioning that since we got Euros, all prices doubled or tripled x___x Eeeks! And wages staying the *biiiiip* same 
Bleh! I just hope the prices will stay FAIR in Malta and no cheating from shop keepers… Because that’s the worst thing that may happen, and it would ruin the whole country wellbeing (people’s wellbeing).

Ouch, sorry that you got euro in Malta. I’m very happy that we so far haven’t got it in Sweden but with that new EU treaty probably going through the future don’t look bright.
It must be very hard having to calculate how much everything costs.

Congrats! I’m going to write an entry too… to celebrate 2120+ comments… didn’t realize until recently that I’d reached 2000 already… and only 56 of those are mine. And all for 92 posts in 1 year and 4 months of blogging!
I’m going to be listing the name of each commenter (and their comment totals) plus their URLS… in a summary entry. So yeah, you’ll be in there… I’ll be publishing that entry, soon… hopefully. Just cleaning up some dead links. It’s a whopping entry with almost 600 names. A thank-you entry, hehe.

I don’t think I will be in that “Euro-Crisis” in 2011 when our country will probably adopt Euro too, because I always change my saved money in Euro.

UsingThen, when Italy adopted Euro I kept thinkin’ in Lire for almost an year! Then, it becomes automatic… don’t worry…
