*drum roll* DUM DUM DUM!!! I’m going to the MSFE finals on Saturday night! I still can’t believe my bf gave in to take me 
poor guy. He said we’re going ” only because it’s my bday that day ” hahahahahaha – He loves me or what? We booked yesterday & I just went to pick up my tickets today 
(& did some shopping as i was there as well!) The MSFE (Malta Song for Europe) contest is held as one of the (if not THE) biggest musical events where a song gets to be voted by the audience and the winner gets to represent the country in the Eurovision Song Contest. The event’s going to be held under a huge tent at Ta’Qali (just minutes away from his home) which is pretty great as well (& hopefully more available parking spaces!!). I believe, much to horror of many, this year, i’m rooting for Klinsmann again (yay for a fangirl me?). Out of all of the songs i’ve heard so far i think his were the only ones which i liked 
! But remember kids i’m VERY biased (as is 90% of the Maltese voting audience!) Click to hear / see the songs here & here. Still though, Good luck to all the participants! 
I’ve went for a mini shopping trip today when i went to pick up the tickets, and bought amongst other things (the usual super colorful underwear for which i’m such an addict, clothes etc), st valentine’s mini gifts for friends I hope they’ll like them!! 
& Of course a pack of mini cards & the card for my sweetheart (the gift’s something temporary & considered as handmade & i’m not giving any details because I KNOW he reads my blog!). All i need to do is wait for my phoophie order to arrive (i got crapload of sticker sacks!) … and get decorating!! The ones i have to send to america might arrive a bit late but it’s the thought that counts right??
… So do you guys consider st.vals as being a celebration for just lovers or do you celebrate st.vals with friends alike?

Know what’s weird? It says that comments to this pist will be closed on 23rd May 2008, which is the date of the ESC finals. And the finals are held in my city, a couple of kilometres from where I live. That’s got to mean something!
BTW, I can’t wait for ESC, and I have to get tickets somehow. Will have a look at your videos as well.

I remember that. We have the same thing here, in our school. Called the BISVISION. It’s a great contest.
My group made it in to final. We had to speak french in the Vision. So annoying! But yeah, it was great fun after all.

OMG!! i’m horrified!!! you have such great tastes then why did you like KLINSMANN’S????!!! XD not that i have something against him – but gosh doesn’t he have some squeaking pointless songs!! not only he tries to “sing” – well, if that is called singing I should stay back from da music world XD – and during the semi-finals i was like ; What the hell is singing?! lol the only word i recognized was GO! (obvious eh?) I guess you learnt that this year the songs were poor rigth? and in my opinion only 2 made my eyes pop out – one was that impeccable powerful ballad from the talented Pamela ‘whispers’ wow you could feel that she literally singing emotcionally coz she even cried *poor gal* and man those lyrics are way too realistic and good (well in few words about the mean people found in this world!!) and then there was something extremly different – ‘Street cars of desire’ with a reallly great jazz/blues beat and her voice was GREAT! the rest were really pop and some more ballads … the whole thing was set up OBVIOUSLY! looool we maltese aren’t BLIND! the most song loved by the people and judges (and in my opinion) – MADE SENSE! didn’t pass!! come on??! do we want to send rubbish again? -___- then i calm down and remind myself that i’m still in MALTA !!! so with all due respect i cannot understand whay that ‘wanna be mr. blone punk’ has flattered you … OMG i wrote an essay!! sorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry

Valentines day here is mostly for the lovers, though occasionally some friends (best friends at least) give eachother cards and stuff. Our school has this action which they send roses to friends/lovers/secret loves etc. You have to buy a card, put something on it, put the name of the one you send it to on it, sign it or not, pay 1,50 and it will be sent to that person on valentines day.
I never really believed much in it since i got a rose last year from my exboyfriend. We broke up at the beginning of february (exact a week before valentines day) and it was a bit odd to get a rose with a text which expressed his undying love to me X_X

both, I suppose =D I celebrate with my friends, of course, having no boyfriend
but we still have lots of fun on “Singles Awareness Day”, as we call it. Although it’s going to be weird in my CompSci class this year because I’m the only girl; I wonder how that will go. Anyways, we just give each other candy and cards and hugs =)
