Valentine’s day is mostly regarded as the feast of lovers, though in reality it’s the feast of love no? Love takes on a LOT of forms - we should celebrate them all not just the mushy girlfriend x boyfriend moments (though that’s good too!!)! Friends and family should not be forgotten as well! Though honestly, I absolutely hate when there are certain individuals who use this feast as their only token of love in a whole year 
- st Vals should not be a one time occasion in a year, but it should be celebrated everyday!! 
So! What are your plans for St Valentine’s? I’ve FINALLY sent out handmade (valentine & anti-valentine) cards with minigifts for friends (& hopefully they won’t receive them UBER late!!).
On thursday we’re going to throw a mini-get-together at our workplace - we’ve created (funny) handmade valentine cards invitations and will be indulging on chocolatey threats 
!! Unfortunately i can’t properly celebrate st.val’s on the day as both me & my bf have got lectures that evening after work. On Friday i’ll be creating my gift for my swtheart (DON’T dare to mention in the comments what i’ll be doing - he reads my blog dammit!) & the gift giveout will be that evening 
hopefully i’ll get the desired results off it 
Then finally, on Saturday night we’ll be off to a poshy (& *cough* expensive, but worth it!) French Cuisine restaurant with the surroundings to DIE for!! Ooohh can’t wait!
Here are some ideas for quick last minute St Valentine Gifts for your friends / loved ones:
- Get your them a voucher from their favourite store / amazon / play
- Get them something off their wishlist
- Bake them something sweet
(how about a fresh batch of cupcakes or fortune cookies?) - Make them a romantic dinner for two at your place (you can even buy the food & just set the place up!)
- Get a cute softoy and sneakily place it on their bed while they’re not looking (& don’t tell them! let THEM realize that!)
- Spend the whole day together
- Make a reservation at their favourite restaurant
- Make something handmade
- Frame your favourite picture together
- Get a blanket, a bottle of wine, chocolate & enjoy them at the beach under the stars or inside while watching their favourite movie!
- Picnics always rawk!
- Make a scrapbook with pictures of past memories together
- Get them something cool for their desk / cubicle at work (cool mug, desk organizer etc)
- Gadjets are always well loved by everyone!! How about a nice robot?

Sounds like you enjoy V-day. I’m not so much a fan. I hate buying presents and this is just another day to cause me grief. I am hoping to get away without buying anything this year. I had planned on making my guy a card and sending it in the mail, but V-day is tomorrow so I’m a little late already haha. So I guess I just won’t do anything :P

I love Valentine’s Day I just hate when I see a bunch of guys buying flowers and chocolate. It feels like they’re not putting any effort into the thought of making their girlfriend/wife happy. Why does it always have to be chocolate and flowers?! I would much rather have a CD, a pair of shoes, a purse, or something that I don’t have to eat or watch wither away, you know?

It’s true, we shouldn’t consider St. Valentine’s day as a day for boyfriend x girlfriend only… but it’s very common, so much that you say “valentines” and a picture of two lovers immediately comes to your mind ^^” Heh… Next year I will follow your advice, will consider it towards my parents, friends, etc. too

I hope you had a great Valentine’s day! I really like your idea that V-day is to celebrate love and not just the romantic kind. Unfortunately that is the kind of love the day is mostly focused on. Personally I never celebrate it because I don’t like the idea that you should have to express your feelings of love on that particular day. Plus, it’s just way too commercial these days. Stores only want make big profits.

I did nothing for valentines.. No cards, flowers, gifts.
Im too much of a loser anyway. oooh.. i wonder what you gave your boyfriend.. i hate it when my friends read my blogs, because I cant mention everything in my life at the moment. 
and I would love to celebrate with a blanket, a bottle of wine, chocolate & enjoy it under the stars. xD
