Mother’s day is next Sunday - have you found the perfect appreciation gift for your mommy yet?? I didn’t have a clue myself what to get her - fortunately, last Sunday morning i saw her with a new batch crimebooks in her hands reading quietly in the living room (apparently something sparked her obsession with real crime books again lately) & i’ve gone off and got her this really prettty & girly (my mom loves girly stuff! Did i ever mention her PINK cellphone & how much she wanted her own PINK car??) Butterfly bookmark decorated with crystals.

There were two options, either a pink butterfly or this green one. I liked the green one better - too bad there wasn’t a blue one (blue’s her most favourite colour along with green, pink and bronze). I quite love the box it came in with the words “To a Special Mum” embossed on it Do you think i shall wrap it or just give it to her in the giftbox it came in??

& oh i didn’t forget the card pink of course with this cute handbag on the front (she’s as much as obsessed with handbags as i am obsessed with cute colourful socks !!)

Here are some ideas of what you can get your mom to make her day extra bright:

Jewellery (pearls are especially fashionable this year!! Exotic Costume jewellery would also make a gorgeous gift) - last year i got her a pair of shiney stud earrings and she was especially pleased with them,
Books (provided she’s a bookworm like my own mom!!)
Kitchenware (how about getting her a cute paper towel holder? or what about a set of adorable oven mittens?)
A Photo Album with pictures of her and the family along the years
Voucher and Giftcards from her favourite stores
Beauty Products / Cosmetics or Perfume (honestly, you can NEVER go wrong with these!)
Clothing accessories like a new hat, scarf, elegant gloves or cool bag (also a sure winner!)
Facial threatments or a massage would also be very appreciated by your mom (we all know how stressed they tend to be )
A nice dinner out to spare her the cooking for at least the day!
A shopping spree together
Or (if you can afford it!) a day at the Spa indulging in nothing but pure, heavenly treatments!
Even a simple homecooked dinner or breakfast by yourself would be greatly appreciated by your mom there’s no need to spend a LOT of money - mom’s are understanding & just the thought that they are truly appreciated by you, for them, is more than enough

I think mother’s day is a day created to make money. I mean, seriously, if someone really appreciates what their mother does for them, they should show their appreciation for them everyday…

I got my mom a pretty double heart necklace. It has a large heart with no center and in the center is a smaller heart made out of mother of pearl. She loved it.

That’s a really cute gift! I don’t think you need to wrap the gift. The box is lovely just as it is.

Mother’s day isn’t until the last sunday in may here in Sweden so I have some time to think about what to get mum. I’ll probably get her a book since she’s such a book worm.

it was mothers day here months ago! I got her a keyring, a box of posh chocolates and a book. And then for her birthday, which was the week after I got her 3 books, 2 DVDs and a pair of 9 carat gold moon earrings. I spoil my mum :P

I adore the bookmark you got her. Its gorgeous. She should adore it if she is that girly! XD

I bought mom a gorgeous coffee cup for mother’s day. Here in Dominican Republic we celebrate it next sunday. I wanted to make a digital scrapbook but I left my camera and my wacom at a friend’s… so I guess I can’t.
