Possibly the most hated month of the year (at least for meee!) has almost gone by too! And with it Fall has settled in nicely ![]()
Let’s all welcome the nice month of October!
… Don’t forget that October brings with it Blog Action Day folks! Remember to sign up and be part of it this year ok?? … Back to the Sugar Cube : the September edition! Here’s what were the sugars & salts for this month:
Sugars:
- Colder Weather – i always seem to favor the colder weather to the hotter climate. Love the clothes we get to wear in winter (scarves, hats, warm boots!), love spending weekends snuggled up, warm soups & teas, … & the fact that my skin & hair are always in their best at winter

- Meeting my best friend - We had a sort of mini girls night out – we shopped, we talked, we enjoyed a nice salad & caught up on the weeks i hadn’t seen each other!
we also made plans for the upcoming weeks (like that cemetery photoshoot we had to do & kept postponing for some 4 years now!
) We also went to the cemetery gates (it was closed damnit!) and took some pics there (pics on flickr soon!) … on our way back to the car i found my cellphone in a diff place from where we had left it … & the car was right infront of us so no one had touched it … the weirdness! - The annual Chinese dinner - 11th September for our “girly” group of friends means: our annual Chinese dinner at the usual restaurant: time to catch up with what everyone’s doing!! (we’ve been doing this for the last 5 years or so!)
- Driving - i got the hang of driving my car now
… i still majorly suck at parking though
- New Wardrobe – YAY for clothes shopping!! This year i have to change almost all of my winter wardrobe as all the clothes i had have gotten too big now for me
i will definitely miss a lot of them
- Music Addictions - Didn’t get much time online in september so the only band i discovered were: She Wants Revenge, – Their music is pretty addictive though i can assure you!
- Other lovely things – Preparing for our Corporation’s annual Sports Day activities, Confronting that ANNOYING office nerd we got (yay!), Restarting to go jogging & having toned legs again!

Salts:
- Change of weather – Change of weather brings with it a lot of sickness, headaches … & spots

- Thesis Work – Yes … currently working full speed on it!! Stressss!
- Camping weekend being canceled – unpredictable weather caused our camping trip to be canceled, while i was sort of relieved (living 3 days without the commodities of my house do freak me out!) i was still a bit sad that we didn’t get to go …
- Full days at work again – Oh noes!! I want to keep getting of work at 2pm not 4.15pm!! I’m going to miss watching the Simpsons

What else did i learn this month? Always keep you eyes wide open on the road … there might be a new speed camera installed there
(damn you government for the scare you gave me!!); Never stalk & try to surprise a friend if you’re not sure if it’s him / her or not … that stranger might think you’re psycho ![]()

I’ve always liked cold weather over hot, because you can always put on a sweater but you can’t take off your skin.
Black carrots would be very bitter, I don’t recommend eating them.

I wish my group of friends will start doing that weekly catching/meeting up after we split when we get out of highschool
In my view (I don’t drive yet) I think driving in the winter is difficult….
Have a great week!!!

Driving in ice & hail must be difficult … thankfully we don’t have them over here
we only have just cold and some rain in the winter, it’s generally mild & lasts less than 5 months!

hey!
Sounds like you’ve been enjoying yourself these past few weeks
despite the hard/annoying bits. Works irratating
but we all do it!
See you,

That annual dinner thing sounds like a lot of fun! And chinese food is delicious!
Haha, surprising strangers can go bad! My grandmother scared the shit out of another lady who was drawing money from the ATM. My grandma thought it was her friend so she sneaked up behind her and said “Do you want me to rob you?”. The lady freaked and hurried away before my grandma had the chance to explain.

Hahahahaha your grandma is awesome!!!

I’ve already bought a lot of coats, scarves and boots! Yay! I’m a shopaholic xD
Don’t worry about the parking thing -I’ve had my license for more than two years and i still don’t know how to park sometimes xD
Have fun and enjoy the weather! Yay, it’s cold in here

No way, someone actually gave you a review without you applying? That’s insane? I would be .. well, pissed off, hah. Yeah, the one I got really hurt my feelings, kinda made me want to give up for a second. And yes the government can be very sneaky. Especially when you look up in your review mirror and BAM! there they are.. scary scary.

It seems as though you have a lot to look forward to. I would fancy the cold weather as well. Unfortunately I live in the Caribbean so there’s nothing like that. I’m stuck with this humid weather 365 days a year.
UsingSeptember 29th, 2008 @ 8:01 pm
We only have cold weather for less than 4 months – so it’s always somthing to look forward to as well
living in the caribbean must be really awesome! Beautiful Beaches all year long! Mmmmmm!

I feel like doing that blog thing, seems cool
especially “New Wardrobe”
who doesn’t like new clothes and clothes shopping
UsingEven though September is my birthday month, I don’t like it that much, since all the crane flies come out and I really dislike them.
Some lovely sugars there, I agree with them all really
