I’m sure you’ve all heard of the quilting bee being mentioned some time or another no? It is a special pixel club where you can trade cute little 40×40 pixels called patches with other members & build your own quilt made up of your trades! If you want to see mine, just click on that small flying bee in the About Me paragraph on the Side Menu
I’ve been a member of the Quilting Bee since October of 2004 & still going strong after 4 years! During these 4 years i’ve taken part in lots of activities, won awards (i’m currently in the qbee spotlight for the 2nd time!) and made friends with a lot of members (including webmasters out there that i really admire!) – i couldn’t imagine myself not being a part of it! ![]()
If you like pixelling, don’t pass out the opportunity not to join! The quilting bee is one of the biggest pixels club out there
Even if you’re not such a pro pixeller – why hold back? No one’s going to laugh at you & it costs nothing to join in the fun!
A lot of people might think that the club is rather elitist – but that’s NOT the case! Their Bee*Bee*S is one of the nicest forums you’ll ever join! No violence, no hatred, no flaming! You just feel the love in the community!
Here’s a sample of the gifts we send out to each other, these are the gift cards i’m sending out to all of my neighbours as part of the Christmas Card activity! (Feel free to take the first patch & add it to your quilt if you like!):
If you’re already a member i’d love it if you’d trade patches with me
! Come on! Don’t be shy!

I’ve thought about joining before, but I don’t like all the rules about how often you have to be active online and stuff!
Plus, a lot of my haters are members of the Q*Bee site, and I’m sure if I joined, they’d throw a shit-fest and start causing drama and so on …
Totally not worth it!
However, your patches are totally gorgeous … Love them, love them, love them!

Mallory, I hate to spoil this entry by being negative, but there’s no way on this planet I’d let you in the qbee, so “your haters” wouldn’t have a chance to “throw a shit-fest”. Any personal distaste I have for you aside, the fact that you’re willing & capable of leaving offensive anonymous comments on at least two of my bee’s blogs? I’d never willingly subject my friends to that. The quilting bee is a drama-less place, and we don’t stand for that kind of hate, not now.. not ever.
@Stef: lovely entry
thanks for taking part in q*bee blog day!

Hey Jem;
I think you might want to check out my most recent blog … It’s basically an apology to everyone I’ve been ‘at war’ with for these past however-many years. I hope you’ll read it.
And Afef, ((And Jem, too,)) I take back my comment above. x_x; Re-reading it now, it sounds pretty bitchy … Like I was purposely trying to stir up drama, ack.
Apologies!
