I couldn’t help myself not posting this, even though i’m a week late … Last week i learned about the death of one of my biggest idols & one of the most famous icons out there: Bettie Page. 
I got to know early in the morning & remained sad and droopy faced all day.
I’ve been a huge Bettie fan for almost 4 years now and she’s the one who got me adoring the pin-up fringe style, it looks so good on her! I just had to try it out on myself! I remember when her movie came out in 2005 … oh gosh! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it! I ran to the dvd rentals store as soon as it was placed among the new arrivals and was the first one to get my hands on it!! I stayed up late watching it … when i should’ve been studying!
i think she was a gorgeous woman & someone whom we all should look up to – in a time where people where closed minded, Bettie fought all odds and challenged the world with her sexy (then even controversial) poses. Without her contribution to society, most probably the world would still be a prude?? Who knows?!

I was also very sad to hear about her death. I think she’s one of the most gorgeous models of all time. I also sported the pin-up style fringe a while and loved it.

I was also sad when I heard that she died. She was really beautiful. My English teacher said that she didn’t want any pictures of her to be taken so that people would always remember her as that pin-up girl.

Obviously I live underneath a rock. I don’t think I’d eve heard of her until I read about her death! :O

Oh, god, I didn’t know she passed away until just now — I’m really upset, too!
She was basically amazing, a total icon even today. My heart goes out to her family and all of her fans, including you, Afef.

Awww, I’m sorry that your idol died, Stef. I didn’t know much about Bettie Page, but I’ve definitely heard of her before. She was gorgeous.
This sort of thing has been happening way too much this year…

Yea, I heard about this last week and was shocked. She was absolutely gorgeous and a great idol. She was gorgeous even at her age. Sorry for your loss of your idol.

She actually lived quite a long life for the lifestyle she lived. I don’t remember why she decided to return to the public eye but I think it had something to do with Hef.

It’s always sad when someone dies, especially if it’s someone who inspired you in one way or another.
She seems to have inspired a huge movement in the pin-up industry as well, so I’m sure she won’t be forgotten. May she rest in peace.

That truly isn’t fair. I think her beauty is amazing and it’s amazing how she inspired so many. R.I.P Bettie! *hugs* to you. Nice picture of her too.
